Privacy Policy — Smart Home Triage App
This policy explains what the Smart Home Triage app ("the app") collects, how it's used, and who to contact with questions. It applies to the Android app published under the developer account above, distributed through Google Play.
What the app does
Smart Home Triage helps you narrow down why a smart home device has gone offline, stopped automating, or is behaving inconsistently. You select a device type and a symptom, and the app returns a likely cause and a troubleshooting checklist. The app does not connect to, pair with, or control your actual smart home devices — its diagnostic logic runs entirely on general, published failure patterns for each device category.
Information the app collects
The app does not require an account, login, or registration. It does not collect your name, email address, or any smart-home account credentials. The device type and symptom you select are processed on-device to generate a result and are not linked to your identity.
Permissions
The app requests the minimum permissions needed to run and, where applicable, to show ads:

The app does not request camera, microphone, contacts, location, or storage permissions.
Advertising and third-party services
The app may display ads served through Google AdMob. AdMob and its partners may collect device identifiers (such as the Android advertising ID) and usage data to serve and measure ads, in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy. You can reset or limit ad personalization for your device in your Android system settings under Ads.
Data retention and sharing
Because the app does not collect personal information or account data, there is nothing tied to you for the developer to retain, sell, or share beyond the anonymous, aggregated interaction data that Google's advertising and analytics services handle directly under their own policies.
Children's privacy
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, contact us at the email above and it will be addressed.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the "last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
